BANANA QLD
We left Duaringa this morning. We travelled east along the Capricorn Highway, along with hundreds of other caravaners and mine trucks.

I was glad to turn off to Dululu and along the quieter Leichhardt Highway.
Well it seemed to be quieter until all the escort cars coming towards me waved me off the highway on to the side of the road!
There were so many massive mining machines and huge trucks carrying cotton, which take up most of the road!
Anyway we finally reached the small town of Banana.
The diesel was cheap at $2.29 @ litre…..$160 into the economy of Banana ……thanks for visiting. 🤣🤣🤑🤑🤑
Banana isn’t known for its Bananas….🌴🌴🍌🍌 they don’t grow here.
Banana was named after this beautiful beast…
This big Banana coloured bullock was the favourite lead bullock of the team way back yonder.
Everyone loved him, and when he died, they buried him at the local creek gully which they named “Banana’s Gully” then the named the town after him.
Great story.
We are not staying here, just a coffee stop and fuel.
We are headed to a place called Theodore for a couple of days.
Stay safe. 🦋🦋
