GOONDIWINDI PT 2

It was expected to rain today……(and it did)….so we went out this morning for another very long walk.

We did the river walk and found that our family …(.FOCKERS Senior and Junior)  have connections to this river.

The Macintyre River is part of the Border Rivers catchment, the streams of which flow from the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range.

The border between QLD & NSW follows the Dumaresq and Macintyre Rivers from the top of the range between Stanthorpe and Tenterfield, which in turn is then called The Barwon, which leaves the border, and just above Bourke, The Barwon becomes the Darling, which eventually joins …….The Murray that runs through Mildura!! 🤣🤣🤣 and there’s the connection…..the FOCKERS love the Murray River……..so that leaf I threw into the river today…will be coming your way soon!

This is the border of Queensland and (once you cross the bridge you are then back in ) New South Wales…..🥰🥰

Stay safe 🦋🦋

****** it’s finally stopped raining….

  1. Yes this junior Focker certainly loves the Murray. I have some amazing memories growing up on the Murray river in Mildura.
