MILLMERAN Pt 2

It was a very cold night, but we turned the diesel heater on about 5am and the van warmed up nicely enough to go back to sleep again! πŸ™„

So we are staying at a freebie camp that is in within walking distance to the town centre.

There are a few people camped in here with us, but not many which is nice.
There are no facilities, but we have those on board, but they do provide water.

I found this next photo on google. What a different looking place in the spring compared to the winter picture. Still it’s a very nice spot.

Over the road from us is a private property.

I can only see a lady there by herself every day. She has horses and there’s about 6 dogs with her.
I sat there watching her today thinking how nice that small property would be to own.
She has that oblong caravan sat on her property with a lovely veranda on the front. I would be happy to have that plot and grow veggies on it with the doggies running around keeping the snakes away πŸ™‚
She also belts out some great music!

I also found this little property on our walk. It’s just so tiny and is a shotgun style where you can see from front to back through the doors.

I just love these country properties.

So we walked for miles and miles today.

And came across this old Dairy Co Op. it has since been taken over by Foodworks. (Grocery shop)

There’s a mosaic as well situated in the grounds as a homage to the old place.

Is it me again?……🀦‍♀️…...this bloke looks like he’s having a wee up the wall?.😳😳

And this is the old Butter factory Dam.

It was done up by the youth of Millmeran about 10 years ago.
There’s a Skate  park as well and it’s stocked with fish so the pontoon was built there too.

And the local Primary School Mural.

I think we are staying here again tomorrow, as we are heading toward Goondiwindi and don’t really want to get there on the weekend.

There’s always plenty of walking to do so we keep busy……and warm. The days are beautiful with clear blue skies, but about 4pm you can smell all the houses light up their wood fires. Love being out in the country.
I need to win Tatts to buy a small property to grow my veggies and have pet sheep.πŸ‘©‍🌾

Stay safe πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹
