THEODORE QLD
Theodore has a population of 438 people in its small, but pretty town.

We are not on power, but that’s ok, we have plenty of water on tap… and at $15 @ night, we are thankful for that. The people who want power are in the “sardine section”😊

Their front gate. I wish I could’ve taken so many photos but I didn’t know whether they would come out and chase me with a big stick!🤣

The local picture theatre and clothes shop.

River one side…

Beautiful gardens and houses the other side. Ed loved it too as he likes neatness and they were all so well kept. We both miss a garden, but only a very small one next time thanks 😊

And also along the River there are info signs about all the animals that live around the area.

So that’s about it for the community of Theodore. Again, these towns really do a great job to look after their small community so well.

We are staying at the Showgrounds for a couple of days.
You can camp down by the Dawson River, but it doesn’t hold many vans and it was way too busy. We don’t like being crammed in anywhere thanks. 😊
There’s quite a few vans in here, but it’s absolutely huge, so we are not on top
of one another.

There is only a small IGA grocery store, but it has everything that’s needed and their prices are really reasonable.
The diesel is cheaper here at $2.29 which is really reasonable out this way.
(That statement sounds stupid when you consider how much we were paying this time last year!😳)
We love to walk around these small towns as this is how you come across so many quirky things.
This house was amazing. There isn’t an inch of space left in this garden to plant…or place..anything.

Then there was this house right near the river. It’s a high-set house because of the river rising and it obviously floods.
I was trying to work out what the tin, long thing was at the front…on closer inspection…..it was an elevator!
Great idea…..no lugging groceries up those stairs!

I just loved the shape of this building.
And just in case anyone needs their “butt welded” ……these are the blokes to call…travel not a problem 🤣🤣🤣
There’s a lovely walk along the Dawson River behind all the houses. It’s a lovely walk as it’s so pretty. All the houses that back on to the river have all landscaped their gardens down to the river with the help of the local council.

There was so many signs… it took us a long time to do that walk.
And they also had a “Bird Hide” overlooking the river.

Unless you get out and walk, we would never see all these beautiful things we find.
Another perfect end to another perfect day 🌟🌟
Take care 🦋🦋
Some beautiful spots along your travels senior Fockers. I am certainly looking forward to travelling like this sooner rather than later.
