MOREE Pt 2

Well it’s absolutely belting down rain today. Our electricity cord has been swallowed up in a puddle over yonder.

We are staying at the Moree Showgrounds, which is a really lovely spot (normally 🀣)
We were only staying a day or two, but when we arrived, found that they had
“Stay for 5, Pay for 3” so we found there were a few things we wanted to see around the town, so took that deal.

So before the rain set in, yesterday went walking in the sunshine, and found some street art.

These were painted on buildings down a lane way.

They have a lot of very old restored buildings. This is The Commercial Bank Co of Sydney, was built in 1911. It now houses one of the largest collections of contemporary Aboriginal art in regional NSW.

Moree has been considered the Spa Capital of Australia for the variety of artesian hot springs available.
Starting way back in 1895, millions of travellers and locals have come to the bore baths where water comes in at 41 degrees Celsius.

While they look nice, and they apparently cure all aches and pains, they are just not my thing.
I just can’t sit there with all those bodies, talking about where have you come from and where are you going.

(We went out for lunch today, and I got asked that question so many times by different “grey Nomads” )
And no!…..I’m not one of those, I tell them, we live in our van permanently πŸ™„……and then you get their shocked faces……what! You don’t have a home?” No…..piss off.🀦‍♀️ (I don’t say that out loud🀣

Sorry….rant over. 🀣🀣🀦‍♀️

Where was I ? ….

Oh yeah……this photo looks so much better……

I’d go in then…it looks so peaceful….❤️

So hopefully the sun will come out tomorrow (sounds like the song from Annie) and the rain will stop so we can do a bit more exploring and walking.

Stay safe πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹
