CHRISTMAS TRAVELS.

After two months of sitting still at Tweed, we have packed up the caravan, put new tyres on and driven up north and over the Queensland border to Scarborough. We had to change our clocks back an hour as Queensland don’t take daylight savings……which is such a bloody nuisance. Apparently it fades the curtains and upsets the cows…….bloody ridiculous. πŸ™„

We came here about two years ago over Easter. It’s a lovely caravan park, very clean and tidy, and so much cheaper over the holidays than it is at Tweed Heads.

It’s about 130 klm from Tweed. The road was a bloody nightmare as there’s lots of roadworks, they  are upgrading the highway between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, which will make it so much better hopefully…

So we arrived about lunchtime, set up and found we had a leak in one of the pipes coming from the hot water service. Ed tried to fix it but it needs a new part so that will be done tomorrow. The beauty of this caravan park is that your caravan sits on concrete, so if anything needs maintenance, you are not crawling around underneath in the dirt. Plus it all looks so clean and tidy.

If you squint …..you just just see the sea in this photo from where we sit.
It was very warm today but we had a lovely breeze coming in off the sea.

Just next to the caravan park is the Boat Harbour Club. We know they do a cheap menu on Tuesdays for Seniors, so we had a very nice feed of Fish, Chips and salad for lunch….with a view.

And tonight we went for a walk as it had cooled down nicely.

One of the many beautiful houses that are along the Esplanade.

We have 10 days here in this beautiful place.

Take care everyone ❤️❤️❤️
