CLONTARF

Happy 21st Birthday Noah. Hope you have a great night…..and sorry we couldn’t be there with you tonight. Love you ❤️❤️

Well here we are 8 days after my last post. Let’s start with a Covid update and get that out of the way.

Ed is now testing negative, and I’m still testing positive, I’m on day 6…….There was a three day gap  between us…. Hopefully it won’t be long till we are Both testing negative.

We moved from Scarborough last Friday and set up here at Clontarf in the local caravan park. I was worried we wouldn’t get here as poor Ed wasn’t that great, but it didn’t take long and we were set up.

We are across the road from Moreton Bay, so we get nice sea breezes here. There is a lovely walkway that goes for a very long way, and hopefully when we feel better, we will be able to walk it.

At night, you can see the lights of Brisbane and the wharves. You can also see the planes landing at the Brisbane Airport. We are only 27 km from Brisbane, but far enough away to feel we are not in a city area.

We did go for a drive as you can follow the beach right around the coast road and you come to a few little beach suburbs.

Being they are also situated on the bay….the sand is very different, but lovely in its own way.

The whole area here is kept immaculate by the local councils. They do a great job in providing clean Loos to bike paths, fresh drinking water, so many seats to take advantage of the views and picnic facilities for families.

The houses are typical raised “Queenslanders” to take advantage of the cooler breezes and they were all beautifully restored.

There is a house being renovated on the point behind those trees that when finished….will be stunning.

To the left, you can just make out the Brisbane Wharves.

Being it’s not the Gold or Sunshine Coasts, it’s not spoilt with lots of modern high rise complexes, so we found it to be just a nice sleepy little beach community……..how things used to be.
There’s a few little beaches dotted around the Bay like that which are so naturally pretty.

Take care everyone and stay safe ❤️❤️

****** can I just say….I did wear a mask all the time …..there wasn’t really anyone around as you can see by the beach photo.
I had to get out of the caravan as I was going nuts, we didn’t stay out of the car for very long. 😷😷
