REDCLIFFE

Today went for a drive to Redcliffe as I wanted  to go to Jaycar (an electronics shop) as they had a sale on. I wanted a “step counter” for when we do all our walking……and they had a fit bit style one that you wear on your wrist ……and wasn’t too complicated for my brain. 🤪🧐

After that we went to the waterfront and parked the car for a walk.

I must explain that the whole area where we are staying is like a big Peninsula…..not that far from Brisbane. It’s called “Moreton Bay”

Once you leave the beautiful surf beaches of the Gold Coast….you don’t really see surf beaches again until Caloundra, Sunshine Coast… which is about 75 klms from here.

Bribie Island is situated between here and the Sunshine Coast, (which is where we may go to stay for a while after we leave here at the beginning of January)…and that too is situated in Moreton Bay.

Anyway …….what I’m trying to explain in my roundabout way is that the “beaches” here are in a Bay…and don’t have the beautiful blue water that we are used to.

Or the beautiful squeaky sand we are all used to. Nevertheless….we are so lucky we are able to stay here and enjoy their clean beaches and beautifully kept parks and gardens.

Don’t let that grey sky fool you…..it was a stinker of a day and so humid. 🥵

Because it doesn’t have a good swimming area…..they have built a beautiful big freshwater, lagoon for swimming.
It’s patrolled by lifesavers and is very popular.

They were setting up for a huge twilight Christmas Market along the beach road, so we left and went home as we didn’t want to get amongst all those people.

We had done a lot of walking so we were ready for home and a cuppa.

After dinner tonight we just had a lovely walk around our boat harbour here.

These night skies here change so quickly and I just love their different colours.

That was about a ten minute change. ❤️❤️

Take care xx
(6270 steps 🤣🤣🤣❤️)
