MORE BEACH PHOTOS.

There hasn’t been much to write about lately.  We seem to have slipped back into our normal routines pretty effortlessly, as we do when we get back to Tweed.  Ed’s back playing bowls at his club, and catching up with all his mates. The phone calls start again for him……asking could he fill in a spot?…. and is he available to play on such and such a date?……which is good for him as there’s lots of competitions as well as social bowls playing at the moment.  And it’s good for me as I get to have the car, and go exploring the Op Shops and shopping centres. Not that I need anything, but it’s always good to browse, and have some me time.  It’s still very warm. The air con has not been off since we’ve been here…. and that’s 24/7. It’s cyclone season, and poor New Zealand have declared a  State of Emergency as they were smashed yesterday with a terrible cyclone. The footage coming through from that beautiful country is just so damn sad. As the weather is so warm, the only time we can walk is at

ANOTHER HUMID DAY AND NIGHT.

Well so much for taking a break from blogging! 😂😂 I seem to find to be finding things to talk about as there’s always something going on.  Especially this weather.  The humidity is a shocker at 85%. I’ve just come back from my evening walk around the park (yep….cricket is on 😂) and it’s like being in a sauna….at 8.30 at night. Phew. 🥵 There’s lots of families in the park, being the weekend, and, we are only an hour from Brisbane, they come down for the beautiful beaches we have here.  By tomorrow they will pack up and leave.  They have a special on here for us that want to stay a while, as it’s stay for 7 days and pay for 6. Which makes it cheap.  Last night we got in the car and drove to Coolangatta. It was busy, but we found a park outside McDonalds.  So……as you do when it’s hot…..I went in and ordered 2 chocolate sundaes……only to be told they had run out of ice cream!😡 how dare they when I fancied an ice cream. I can’t remember when we last had a Maccas sundae……so pissed off.

IT COULD ONLY HAPPEN TO US 😌

We left our beautiful spot at Clontarf this morning.  Packing up for Ed was really tough today as it was so hot and humid and I can’t possibly do the things he does as I’m just not strong enough, so I do inside.  Anyway, packed up, reversed the car onto the caravan, did the usual safety checks……and no lights working on the caravan.  No brake lights, no indicator lights. F***😡 So unhook the the plug, Ed has a special spray that keeps the plug clean, so a spray with that, and sometimes the points in the plug close up…..so opened all of them……plug it back into the car, check it all again ……still nothing… By this time it had gotten about 10 degrees hotter…..🥵 Ed did the whole thing again, sprayed everywhere , put the knife into the points to seperate them as sometimes they can close up, send up a prayer to the plug fairy…..and contact! We have lights!  Poor Ed…..dripping wet from the humidity….he was exhausted.  So off we go towards Tweed.  It’s a very, very, busy 4 lane highway back to
