JERICHO Pt 6
We have been at Jericho for a week now. We didn’t think we would be staying for more than two days…..three at the maximum, as we’ve been here before……

The pub was open. It only opens on the weekend…ππ

Looks can be deceiving …..they are a bit run down, but the trees looks good standing there in a row…Palm Trees in the bush.

The local Police station

And the local “Lock Up”

This is the local CWA……country woman's association) meeting hall. Not sure that it would used anymore as it looked in a bad state too.
Surprisingly though, they have built a huge undercover Basketball Court, and the town has a new Swimming Pool.
but the time has just flown!
The people that are camped around us are just so friendly…..and that is why we enjoy this lifestyle.
We are all ready to help one another, and have so many camping stories to tell of different places we have all been to. It’s always a good thing to get recommendations from people rather than just read about them.
It rained on and off yesterday so we weren’t able to go out for a walk, but today the sun has been out, so off we went.
Even though the sun came out, the wind was really chilly.
So we walked the streets today.
The pub was open. It only opens on the weekend…ππ
Apparently the owners have been trying to sell the place for years……and according to their reviews……it’s shows as they are not very nice people.
Around the back of the pub are a few “ motel type” rooms to rent.

The local Town Hall and view from the veranda.

The streets here are so neat and tidy. Unfortunately a lot of people have left the town. It’s so sad as the homes are just left there to rot basically. No one wants to live in these small towns anymore.
The stories these places could tell π’

You can’t buy groceries here, and the nearest town would be 80 or more kilometres away.
You can buy a loaf of bread if you are lucky . It’s $5 which isn’t bad, but it’s frozen.
So as we are getting very low on food…..we will have to start thinking about packing up and leaving in the next day or two…..
That’s all my photos from this town as well…..so I will post again when we have moved on.
Take care π¦π¦
