AUSTRALIA DAY πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί 2023

Happy Australia Day to all our family near and far πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

It was so hot today and very humid today, and there were so many families having picnics and BBQ’s, over the road along the waterfront. There were boats, and jet skies, dogs, and the smell of sausages and onions wafting over to us.

We decided that being that it was just too hot, we would wait, and go out for a walk when it cooled down later on in the evening.

We had dinner and waited till the sun went down as it was a bit cooler.

It was like someone said, “right….everyone home”….as there were just a few people around. The place was spotless, and all that was left was just a few Aussie Flags wrapped around the BBQ areas  and even the bins had all been emptied….
you really can’t fault this place for it’s cleanliness.

The tide was out, the water was so calm……..and it was so quiet.

We walked up to the pier, and walked to the end to watch the lightening put on a show over the Brisbane skyline. Also the fireworks at Sandgate.

It was so silent after such a busy day.

Not sure if I’ve shown these….

They are bike racks.

We decided to walk further around the coast, which was a bit hilly, but a lovely walk.

That was a very steep walk coming up that hill from the water as it zig zagged to make it a bit easier….you think πŸ™„πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅

This is a lovely fish shop that we found down near the jetty. It’s a huge place and I can imagine they were so busy today.
They were just about to close, but it looked so lovely and clean we are going to come back and try it.

So that was our Aussie Day. We had to walk all the way home which was tough, but after a cold drink and a cool shower, we felt better for the walk. It’s good for the mental health. ☺️πŸ˜‰

Take care everyone. ❤️❤️❤️
