A WALK ALONG THE RIVER

Taree is a town on the Mid North Coast of NSW. Taree and Cundletown were settled in 1831 by Willie Wynter. Since then, Taree has grown to a population of over 26,000 and is the centre of a significant agricultural district.

This is the Martin Bridge, which carries traffic over the Manning River. Taree is an Aboriginal name tareebit…..meaning Tree by the River, or more specifically….
The Sandpaper Fig.

The Manning River produces 1,752,000 oysters.

There is an annual 3 day Rowing Regatta that runs over three days during January, consisting of over 200 raves with more than 500 competitors.

It’s a young people’s town here, and it’s well catered for by many Pubs.
Everyone has either a 4wd or a very flash Ute.

We had a lovely walk along the river and the town backs on to it. We didn’t stay long , as it’s a Friday night and I think it would get a bit wild…….and we don’t do wild 😂😂

So we are now home, safely tucked away in the Showgrounds in our van.

Stay safe everyone ❤️❤️❤️
